"The 57th Annual CMA Awards"
Publicist Credential Application
Please read the Publicist FAQs before continuing:
When and where are the CMA Awards?
"The 57th Annual CMA Awards" are
Wednesday, Nov. 8. They will be broadcast live on ABC (8:00-11:00 PM/EST; 7:00-10:00 PM/CST) from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Who should register for publicist credentials?
Any publicist who will be working with an artist nominee, performer or presenter at the CMA Awards, or an artist walking the Red Carpet, needs to register for a publicist credential. Due to space limitations, you must limit credential requests to one (1) publicist per artist - if one publicist is sufficient to handle more than one artist client, that is preferred.
In order to comply with building fire codes and regulations, each artist is limited to two (2) guests including spouse/escort, manager, security, publicist, hair and makeup, etc. In the case of a duo or group, each member will receive one (1) additional guest credential. For example, a duo will receive three guest credentials, a trio will receive four guest credentials, etc.
Am I guaranteed publicist credentials if I register?
Registration does not guarantee that you you receive credentials. We would like to be able to credential every publicist who wants to participate in the CMA Awards; however, space limitations, security requirements and strict restrictions on backstage access make it impossible to accommodate all requests. You will be notified by email whether or not your credential request has been granted. If you have any questions please contact Stephanie Shank, Senior Manager Production & Talent Relations at 949-439-8905 or
sshank@cmaworld.com.
If you are approved for publicist credentials for the backstage area, can you also receive seats in the audience?
Credentialed publicists will
not be given seats in the audience. We have an area backstage where you can comfortably watch the CMA Awards and be available for your artist. If you are not credentialed, but are an individual member of CMA, you have the opportunity to purchase seats for the CMA Awards while they are available.
My artist's manager/agent/publisher/family member/etc. wants backstage credentials for CMA Awards. Do they register for them here?
No. This is solely for publicists. Please have them email Stephanie Shank at
sshank@cmaworld.com and she will be able to assist with this request.
If I have media reporters contacting me wanting information about the CMA Awards, where should I send them?
Please direct media to
CMApress.com. They can view press releases and nominees, download press material and much more. They can also register for media credentials if they would like to cover the CMA Awards onsite; however, registering does not guarantee they will be credentialed.
Throughout the show,
CMApress.com is updated with a list of "The 57th Annual CMA Awards" winners and other assets for media use. The CMA Photo Database, also accessible via
CMApress.com (or directly at
cma.webdamdb.com), will have downloadable photos of "The 57th Annual CMA Awards" Red Carpet, performances, award acceptances and more. We strongly suggest artist teams and press register for Webdam accounts in advance at
cma.webdamdb.com, as mobile registration is not available.
For any questions, media can email Julie Anne Jacobs at
jjacobs@cmaworld.com.
Can I approve photos of my artist prior to them going public?
As "The 57th Annual CMA Awards" is a live event, artist photo approvals in advance of posting are not possible. For specific photo needs or if you'd prefer for a photo of your artist to be removed from
CMApress.com or
cma.webdamdb.com, please contact Pamela Hothorn (
phothorn@cmaworld.com).
